Hotel Review: Hilton NYC Midtown

I was recently in New York City for conference and I decided to check out the Hilton New York City Midtown.  The hotel's location is excellent.  It's a few blocks south of Central Park, a couple of blocks east of Broadway and surrounded by a plethora of great restaurants and shopping.  The conference I was attending was taking place at this hotel, so staying here made sense.  I'll give my impressions on the meeting space later in this article.

Changes for Hilton Honors

Hilton is announcing some big changes to the Hilton Honors program.  Starting March 28, 2013 the loyalty program will jump to ten hotel reward categories.  Hilton's e-mail to HHonors members claims the change is to accommodate the growing numnber of hotels and resorts in the Hilton family.  There are currently seven award categories.  Reward categories determine how many HHonors points a member will earn for a stay as well as how many points are necessary for a free night.  The higher the category, the more points required.

Review: Elara Las Vegas

Vegas baby.  I had the pleasure of making two business trips to Las Vegas in 2012.  It was my first time back in sin city in years and I wanted to check out some place new.  I often focus my hotel stays with Hilton, but in Las Vegas this isn't easy to do if you want to stay on the strip.  There are a few options, but most of them are tied to Hilton Grand Vacations and aren't true full service hotels.

Review: Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark

When I'm back in St. Loiuis visiting friends and family I usually book a room at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark.  This high rise in downtown St. Louis has been several hotels, including a former Marriott, but in its most recent incarnation it now fall into the Hilton family.  The hotel has undergone a major facelift in the past few years and is now a sleek, modern hotel with a good list of amenities.
