Sailing Adventure; Turks and Caicos

On our recent trip to Turks and Caicos in the British West Indies we decided to do something different.  We chartered a sail boat for an afternoon out on the water.  After doing some research online we booked our charter with Captain David Douglas at Sun Charters.  Sun Charters takes guests out on their 77' sailing schooner Atabeyra.  For those not familiar with boating or sailing, 77' is a big boat.

Middle Chesapeake Bay Cruise

We just wrapped up a four day, three stop cruise around the middle Chesapeake Bay.  This is a section of the bay around the Potomac River and is south of Annapolis and north of Norfolk.  This cruise included three stops, Tangier Island, Virginia, Crisfield, Maryland and Solomons Island, Maryland.  If you're a boater make sure you check out our boating specific information at the end of each destination.

Sunday Cruise: Washington, DC

Now that warmer weather is here I can get back to one of my favorite activities, boating.  This is one of my favorite forms of travel.  Each Sunday we're going to share a different cruise or destination.   This week, I'm starting in my home port of Washington, DC.
