City Garden St. Louis
In the heart of downtown St. Louis, Missouri is an attraction many tourists may initially overlook. City Garden is an urban garden and scupture park located along Market Street between 8th Street to the East and 10th Street to the West. The park is free and open daily from sunrise until 10pm.
This urban park is a mix of plants, art and water features set in a tranquil setting among the neighboring skyscrapers. First opened in July 2009, City Garden serves as a nice escape from the pavement buildings of downtown St. Louis. The park's located about a fifteen minute walk from the Gateway Arch and is close to several hotels.
The sculptures are the work of various artists and are scattered throughout the park's nearly three acres. If you're in St. Louis and looking for something different, I recommend taking a stroll through the park. It's not far from Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals or far from the restaurants and bars on Washington Avenue.
