Hotel Review: Hilton Madrid Airport
Rarely do we have glowing things to say about an airport hotel, but the Hilton Madrid Airport deserves our praise. This hotel is just a short complimentary shuttle bus ride from the airport. It appears to have been recently renovated.
The hotel's exterior looks like a typical airport hotel, but inside the hotel is modern. We were given a room on the Executive Floor. (Offered to Hilton Honors members) The room was large and featured a spacious bathroom with separate tub, shower and toilet room. The bathroom was dark green marble and a modern all glass sink and vanity. The room featured hardwood floors, a king sized bed, desk and comfy lounging chair with a view to suburban Madrid. My only complaint about the room was the bed. I like a firm mattress, but this bed was beyond firm.
WiFi was complimentary due to my HHonors status. As was the full breakfast buffet in the lobby restaurant. (A savings of €26 per person) The Executive Floor also featured a large, modern lounge open from 6:30a-9pm daily. A light breakfast was set out in the morning and a nice tapas bar in the evening. Wine and beer was complimentary. (This is not normally the case in Hilton executive lounges)
The hotel has a large fitness center and swimming pool. Both feature a retractable roof.
We got our room for €99 including tax. The hotel is about a €25-30 taxi ride into the city center and countless tapas restaurants. During our previous stay we were at the Westin Palace in the heart of Madrid, but paid more than double the price of this hotel.
