Delta's Tumi Amenity Kit

In the past I've reviewed Delta's BusinessElite product on the Boeing 777-200, including Delta's old amenity kit.  I wanted to post an update on Delta's new business class amenity kits.

The kits are pretty similar, but they now come in a black bag made by Tumi.  The amenity kits are provided to BusinessElite passengers on Delta's long-haul international flights as some select domestic flights.  (I received mine on an internationally configured 757-200E while flying New York's JFK to San Juan, Puerto Rico, JFK-SJU)

The amenity kits feature Marlin+Goetz's Neroli hand and body lotion and lip moisturizer, a Tumi eye mask, socks, shoe horn, shoe polish, comb, toothbrush and toothpaste, tissues, antibacterial wipes, earplugs and a pen.  The bag is made of ballistic nylon fabric.  If you're not familiar with the brand, Tumi makes high end luggage, business handbags, etc.

The components of the kit are very similar to the old kits, but I like the black and red color scheme and it feels modern.  I really appreciate the hand lotion because it can become very dry on long flights.  The kit's packaging even includes some tips on how to reuse the bag for your electronics when you travel.

Overall, I think the kit is well thought out and a good compliment to Delta's level of service.
