Matanuska is the largest glacier in the U.S. that you can reach by car.  This spectacular attaction is about 27 miles long and four miles wide.  Matanuska is a valley glacier, which essentially means it's a solid body of ice that flows like a river through an existing valley.

Lambert International is my hometown airport and I've seen the facility undergo some major changes over the years.  Up until about ten years ago Lambert was one of the busiest airports in the US with more than 30 million passengers moving through its terminals in a single year.

Ft. Lauderdale beach is a great alternative to Miami and South Beach.  One of my favorite places to stay in Ft. Lauderdale is the Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort.  This high rise on the beach is part of a long line of luxury hotels just steps from the sand.
