Review: Delta SkyClub DCA
I like to think of Reagan National Airport (DCA) as my home airport. I often fly out of Reagan and when I do I usually end up waiting for my flight in the Delta SkyCub. The club is located in the B concourse just inside of security. You will see the sign next to the elevators which will take you up one level to the club.
This SkyClub does not look like the recently renovated clubs and has a more traditional, yet comfortable decor. I find the check in agents at this club are very friendly and extremely helpful. The DCA club does not have a second counter for flight assistance, the front desk handles everything in this club.
Once inside you'll find a bar to the left and seating that runs along the windows. Grab a seat by the windows and you can see many of the odd numbered gates. This is a great way to check and see if your plane has arrived. (If departing from 15, 17, 19 or 21)
The seating is comfortable, but not spectacular. This club does have a shortage of power outlets so if you need to charge your devices look around. You'll find the normal amenities including WiFi, restrooms, televisions, printer/copier and flight info screens.
Food is typical for Delta SkyClubs. For breakfast you'll find hot oatmeal, bagels, mini muffins, yogurt as well as juices and coffee. During the day a mix of snacks, but nothing you would call a meal. Soft drinks and alcohol are free, but you pay for premium liquor.
Overall this club is a bit dated, but a comfortable place to wait for a flight and avoid the limited seating in the gate areas. Visit the link to the right to find out more about Delta SkyClubs. I accessed the club on a Business Elite ticket, but I also have the Delta SkyMiles Amex Reserve Card and Amex Platinum card which grant access.
